      Now one thing is quite obvious - there is no shortage of churches these days. You can take your pick from dozens upon dozens of denominations. Every style of church you could imagine is available. And it can all become sort of confusing to the person who simply wants to please God. So what is it that makes this church special?

• We are a CHRISTIAN church! We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. He alone is Savior and Lord.

• We are a BIBLE church! We accept both the Old and New Testaments as the inspired Word of God. Since the church began in the New Testament, we try to follow its teachings today. That’s why we have communion each week, our preaching is about Christ and our prayers are in Jesus’ name. That’s why we baptize believers in Christ by immersion for the forgiveness of sins. Even our name is rooted in the earliest days of the church when they called the disciples Christians.

•  We are a WORSHIPPING church! Upbeat celebrative praise is a big part of the Christian life.

• We are a SERVING church! We believe that every Christian is gifted by God for ministry. So we encourage every member to find a place where they can contribute to the work of the church. As a result, we have hundreds of ministers who find joy and satisfaction through serving the Lord and others.

• We are a CARING church! Our members gather in smaller groups to build relationships and encourage one another. We pray together and consider how God’s Word applies to daily life. And we are available for one another as special needs arise.

• We are a GROWING church! Our goal is to make disciples because that’s what Jesus Christ commanded us to do. People are really important to us because they are so important to God
