Summer In The City Daycamp and After School At The Gathering Place was developed in 2002 as a service to the community of Sullivan.
These children's programs operate as a non-profit organization, sponsored by First Christian Church.
.

Our Focus is an outreach ministry of Sullivan First Christian Church in Jesus' name.
These community programs are for elementary students who are going into or who are in Kindergarten through Sixth grade

Our goal is to serve children of working and non-working parents or their guardians.
We offer a fun, safe place for the children of this community to go.  The children will be busy doing constructive indoor and outdoor activites: arts/crafts, basketball, bible stories/verses, board games, foosball, air-hockey, movie-time, praise and worship.

Our Mission Statement

We at Summer In The City Day camp and After School at the Gathering Place programs will acknowledge that every child comes to us with special and unique abilities.  We will provide an orderly and structured environment that promotes active learning through daily hands-on activities set in a loving Christian context.
Our strong desire is to promote these programs in a non-denominational, non-profit, community outreach for elementary students who are in Kindergarten through Sixth grade.
We will focus and care for every child as an outreach ministry of First Christian Church of Sullivan.  We will serve children of working parents and non-working parents and their guardians to ofer fun programs for the children of this community.
